Toys ‘R’ Us in Times Square shuts down: Pictures

The Toys “R” Us in Times Square, the chain’s flagship location that housed a 60-foot Ferris wheel, closed on Dec. 30, 2015, ending 14 years in the “Crossroads of the World.” The company said it was shutting the store because it could not afford a proposed rent hike.
