Here’s an overview of the Mets minor league affiliates on Tuesday:

TRIPLE-A – Las Vegas 51s

The skinny: The 51s scored six runs in the top of the second inning and never trailed during a 10-4 win over Omaha. Carlos Peguero hit two home runs for Omaha, a Kansas City Royals affiliate, giving him 27 for the season.

Here’s an overview of the Mets minor league affiliates on Monday:

TRIPLE-A – Las Vegas 51s

The skinny: Omaha scored five runs in the first and benefitted from home runs by two players with significant MLB experience, Paul Janish and Carlos Peguero, during a 9-5 romp over Las Vegas. The 51s did mount a mini-rally, striking for three runs in the ninth.

The Mets’ top three affiliates were shut out on Sunday, combining for nine hits – only one for extra-bases, a double – and three walks in 27 innings. Add in a lackluster major league performance vs. the Cubs on Sunday and that total is 13 hits (still just one extra-base hit), five walks and one run in 36 innings.

The skinny: Las Vegas took the lead with a three-run fifth inning during a 6-4 win over the powerful Iowa Cubs. Iowa’s lineup boasts prospects such as Kris Bryant and Jorge Soler. Manny Ramirez pinch-hit and struck out for the Cubs.
