Animals from Queens and the Bronx up for adoption

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s budget includes $10 million in funding for full-service animal shelters in Queens and the Bronx. Currently, New Yorkers in those boroughs looking to adopt a pet need to go to shelters in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Staten Island. This gallery includes animals found in Queens and the Bronx, but which are now at one of the city’s other shelters. For more information about these animals, visit the website of Animal Care Centers of NYC.
