Hunting for half pipes
If the streets of the city aren't quite exciting enough, you can always break out your skateboard or inline skates.
All facilities require users to sign a waiver and wear protective gear. Here is a list of skate parks.
MANHATTAN
Pier 26
West and Hubert streets
In the Hudson River Park, this skate park has a mini-half pipe, wooden bowl, and street course. Entrance is free.
Riverside Skate Park
Lower level of Riverside Park at 108th Street
This skate park has five ramps, including half pipes, quarter pipes, and rails. The park is open 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. during the season. The park is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For more information call (212) 408-0265.

Chelsea Piers Skate Park
Pier 62, 23rd Street and the West Side Highway
This park has a 21,000 square-foot skating area with obstacles, a mini-ramp, an 11-foot vertical ramp, fun boxes and more. Entrance is $10 per session for members, $14 for non-members. The park is open 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
