Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo will be at SUNY Old Westbury Tuesday to talk about tax cuts he might propose in 2014, when the governor and state legislators are up for re-election.
Cuomo will be on campus to unveil the recommendations of his hand-picked “Tax Relief Commission.”
The Democrat has previously signaled he wants to propose some sort of property-tax reduction; the governor frequently uses his numerous commissions to float out policy ideas as a way of trying to build support. The tax commission report will likely form part of Cuomo's 2014 agenda, to be outlined in his State of the State address on Jan. 8.
The event is set for 10:30 a.m.at the student union center.
