The university has $181.8 million in external funding for research, including $90.1 million for the health center. The university's annual budget is $1.5 billion with an endowment of $300 million. Tuition, fees, room and board cost $17,702 a year for Connecticut residents and $31,646 for out-of-state-students. The university has 174,500 alumni, 102,000 of whom live in Connecticut.
