CRIME STATISTICS FOR THE 78th PRECINCT

Park Slope is covered by the NYPD's 78th Precinct, which also has jurisdiction over Prospect Park and the industrial area around the Gowanus Canal.

According to police department statistics, the crime situation within the confines of the 78th Precinct has improved markedly in the past 10 years, mirroring a citywide trend.
