Comedian Jon Stewart is best known as the host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show and for his political satire. He is also an actor, writer and producer. After hosting his own show on MTV, called The Jon Stewart Show, Stewart became the host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central in early 1999. The Daily Show steadily gained popularity and critical acclaim leading to his first Emmy Award in 2001.
