He set a new school record for rushing yards in a season and became the first running back in state history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season. His 2,448 yards through the end of the regular season and C-USA championship game left him only 180 yards behind the all-time single-season mark set by former Oklahoma State and NFL standout Barry Sanders. His efforts earned him Conference USA Player of the Year, an eighth place finish in Heisman Trophy balloting and the first consensus All-America designation in UCF history.
