Islands of Adventure, one of two theme parks at the Universal Orlando resort, was completed in 1999. It includes six fanciful areas or "islands" arranged around a lagoon, including Port of Entry, Marvel Super Hero Land, Toon Lagoon, Jurassic Park, The Lost Continent and Seuss Landing. The park is known for elaborate thrill rides, including The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, which combines 3-D effects, a simulator on a track and IMAX screens. Sit-down eatery Mythos was voted "best theme park restaurant" several years in a row. In May 2007, Universal announced plans for a new area called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It will be built in conjunction with author J.K. Rowling and Stuart Craig, who was the production designer for the Potter films. It is scheduled to open in late 2009 or 2010.
