City officials are warning of street closures in Manhattan Friday because of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The city said there will be several rolling street closures in midtown between 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Motorists are being urged to consider avoiding the area if possible and to allow for extra travel time.
Here is a list of all the street closures for Friday:
First Avenue from 42nd Street to 48th Street. The tunnel underpass from 41st Street to 48th Street will remain open for passenger cars. Trucks and other large vehicles will not be able to access.
44th Street from First Avenue to Second Avenue
45th Street from First Avenue to Second Avenue
46th Street from First Avenue to Second Avenue
49th Street from Third Avenue to Lexington Avenue
The following streets will have one traffic lane dedicated to emergency vehicles for the duration of the UNFCCC:
42nd Street from First Avenue to Fifth Avenue
Second Avenue from 41st Street to 57th Street
The following will be closed to vehicular traffic from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
42nd Street from the FDR Drive to Second Avenue
The 42nd Street exit and entrance ramps of the FDR Drive
