DOES IT WORK? A smartly designed versatile take on the traditional duffel, the Drop-Bottom has two main areas: The 4 1/2-inch deep zippered bottom, perfect for soiled clothing, shoes or other gear you want to separate from clean apparel, and the 7 1/2-inch- deep upper compartment with a large U-shaped zipper for easy access and a zippered net pocket in its top flap. Top and bottom areas have compression straps to secure contents in place. A zippered pouch is clipped inside the upper compartment. The duffel also comes with two multipurpose mesh pull-string bags and has a zippered front pocket large enough for a newspaper, compact umbrella or guide books.

Available in five colors, the 12-by- 12-by-21-inch duffel weighs 3 pounds and meets carry-on guidelines for airlines requiring a maximum of 45 linear inches. The bag can be carried by its padded shoulder strap, top or side padded handles.
