DOES IT WORK? As summer approaches, visions of beaches dance in our heads. But who wants to risk getting their everyday timepiece wet or sandy? The beach is just one place Mark-My-Time comes in handy. The inexpensive plastic bookmark is topped by a digital clock with both count up and countdown timers. Afraid of sunburn? Select the countdown mode, set how long you want to sunbathe and a beeper alarm sounds when the counter reaches zero. Clock and timers are controlled through four easy-to-use buttons.

Mark-My-Time easily slips into a book, but has no clip to attach it to a page, which means it could just as easily slip out if the book is carried inverted and not grasped tightly. We also think the instructions should include directions to remove the plastic strip sticking out of the battery case to activate the clock. This might not be intuitive to everyone.
