Donald Trump, who claimed victory Wednesday for needling President Barack Obama to release his birth certificate, spent Thursday quelling accusations that he’s a racist.

"I am the last person that such a thing should be said about," the Donald told TMZ.com Thursday.

He was responding to CBS News anchor Bob Schieffer, who said Wednesday that Trump’s questioning of Obama’s Ivy League schooling goes too far.

"That’s just code for saying he got into law school because he’s black," Schieffer said.

Trump wouldn’t say whether he thought Obama got into Harvard Law School because of affirmative action.

"I’m getting tired of trying to find reasons not to think of stuff as being racist," Whoopi Goldberg said on "The View."
