From the Associated Press: A New York City brownstone made famous by a 1987 romantic comedy starring Cher and Nicolas Cage has sold for nearly $4 million.

The deal was closed last week and confirmed by Elliot Lokitz of the Corcoran Group real estate firm.

The exterior of the Brooklyn Heights brownstone was featured in the movie "Moonstruck," which also starred Olympia Dukakis.

In one scene, Dukakis stands outside the house with a male suitor who exclaims: "My God, it's a mansion!" Dukakis responds: "It's a house."

The four-story brick house had been owned by the same family since 1959. It first went on the market in 2006 for $5 million.

The new owners were not identified.
