Anna Gristina makes bond
By the time you read this, alleged "UES madam" Anna Gristina, 44, may have returned to her husband, her potbellied pigs and her children in Monticello.
The Scottish-born blonde and thrice-married mother of four accused of running an expensive Upper East Side brothel has made her $250,000 bail after 19 weeks at Rikers Island, her bail bondsman Ira Judelson, told the Daily News.
Judelson, who told the paper Gristina secured bail with the aid of family real estate, said the accused procurer was unlikely to flee, but that she will be fitted with an ankle bracelet as a precaution.
Gristina, who has surrendered her passport, was eager to return to her 9-year-old son, Nicholas, who has reportedly been ill, Judelson said.
A judge, convinced that Gristina was a flight risk, originally set her bail at $2 million, but it was lowered to $250,000 by an appeals court last week.
