It's been a while since the folks at "Chicago" have cooked up a head-scratcher casting stunt, so it was a relief to hear when Perez Hilton broke the news that Pamela Anderson will play Roxie Hart in the near future. To make it a complete "Baywatch" experience, why not cast also Yasmine Bleeth as Velma and David Hasselhoff as Billy Flynn?

    Dunaway tweets about Broadway comeback
On Wednesday, Faye Dunaway tweeted "I will be on Broadway again!" That's all well and good, but in what show? Although she could conceivably take over for Stockard Channing in the family drama "Other Desert Cities," she's more likely to headline a new play or revival next season.

'Godspell' looking for its 2032 revival cast
Another week goes by, another "Godspell" promotion is introduced. Producer Ken Davenport announced that the Broadway revival will hold a contest to cast "The Godspell Cast of 2032." On April 24, young performers ages 6 to 16 can audition at Circle in the Square, 10 of whom will be picked to perform at the May 22 performance of "Godspell."

Josh Young still out of 'JCS' due to illness
Josh Young, who missed most of the "Jesus Christ Superstar" press previews due to illness but still managed to return for opening night, has remained absent from the show since May 29. What apparently began as a bacterial infection has turned into laryngitis. In the meantime, the role of Judas will be played by Jeremy Kushnier and Nick Cartell.

Donna Murphy to get witchy in 'Into the Woods'
The Public Theater confirmed Wednesday the rumor that musical theater star Donna Murphy will play the Witch in this summer's Shakespeare in the Park production of Sondheim's "Into the Woods." It's hard to believe that the revival - which will also star Amy Adams as the Baker's Wife - doesn't already have its sights on a subsequent Broadway run.

'Carrie' revival to receive cast album
The Off-Broadway revival of the teen musical "Carrie," which shuttered on Sunday after a disappointingly short run, is at least set to live on. It was revealed that Ghostlight Records will release a cast album and that the rights to produce the musical will finally be released to professional and amateur groups. What high school wouldn't want to do "Carrie"? The kids can use their actual prom outfits as costumes.

Olivier Awards to be streamed live
For the first time, the annual Olivier Awards, which honor the best of London's plays and musicals, will be streamed live at olivierawards.com at 12:30 p.m. This year's biggest contender is the new musical "Matilda," which will open on Broadway next season.

Julian Ovenden to star in 'Finding Neverland'
We hear that English stage star Julian Ovenden, who starred briefly in the Off-Broadway musical "Death Takes a Holiday" last summer (he jolted right after opening night), will headline the upcoming musical version of the film "Finding Neverland" about "Peter Pan" creator J.M. Barrie. It will open in London this fall before a New York run.

    Spotted
Anna Wintour and Barbara Walters at opening night of "Evita," Alec Baldwin at "End of the Rainbow," John Krasinski and Emily Blunt at "The Big Meal" at Playwrights Horizons, Neil Simon at "Silence!," Mandy Patinkin at "Once" and Oprah Winfrey at "Memphis."
