Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine is not having the best time this week in the Big Apple.

The 62-year-old is likely to get the ax from the team as early as Thursdayor Fridayafter leading the Sox through a highly disappointing season, according to a report from CBS Sports -- days after taking a tumble off his bike in Central Park.

Under Valentine, the Red Sox headed into their final game last night against the Yankees with a record of 69-92, clinching last place in the AL East.

Valentine has referred to his season in Boston as "miserable."

And as if possibly losing his job this week weren't enough, Valentine also injured his knees and hips after crashing his bike in Central Park on Tuesday because he was distracted reading a text, according to published reports.

While scanning a message from Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia, Valentine nearly crashed into a pair of French tourists and had to swerve to avoid them, causing him to fall down a hill near his path, according to The New York Times.
