    George Clooney who?

Oscar buzz has been building around Clooney for his recent flicks "The Descendants" and "The Ides of March," but another one of Hollywood's sexiest guys nabbed a major film prize Tuesday: Brad Pitt.

The New York Film Critics Circle named Pitt 2011's Best Actor for his work in "Moneyball" and Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life."

Pitt's co-star in "Life," newcomer Jessica Chastain, was named Best Supporting Actress. She also starred in "The Help" and "Take Shelter" this year.

Hollywood bigwig Meryl Streep was named Best Actress. She plays Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady," out Dec. 30.

The Best Picture nod went to "The Artist" and Best Foreign Language Film to "A Separation."

The awards will be given out at a ceremony on Jan. 9.
