Buddhist monk accused of dirty deeds in temple
A Buddhist monk is accused of squatting in a temple and grossing out worshippers by pouring urine in a hand-washing basin and littering a prayer mat with cat feces, according to reports.The China Buddhist Association charges that Xiao Dan Wu moved into its Canal Street temple in October without permission and has retaliated against members who asked him to leave, according to the New York Post. “Defendant Wu has poured a mucous and other slimy excretions into the hand-washing basin," the temple’s lawyer Lewis Klee wrote, the Post reported. "Defendant Wu has also poured urine he keeps in a bottle overnight into the hand washing basin." Wu also allegedly put cat feces on an association board member’s prayer cushion. Klee did not return a call for comment. Wu could not be reached for comment.
