Three people are dead and three others are injured after a Saturday night shootout on the Tule Indian Reservation in central California.

Tulare County sheriff's deputies responding to a 911 call found a man and woman dead in a trailer, another man dead in a shed on the property, and a juvenile male wounded by gunfire.

Hector Celaya, 31, who had fled with his 5- and 8-year-old daughters, led cops on a a "low speed" chase. Celaya, officers said, shot at the detectives, who returned fire, critically injuring Celaya, who later died. Police told the Fresno Bee that a preliminary investigation indicated that Celaya had shot his own children, one of whom was critically injured. The other girl was less seriously injured, police said.
