Eighth Annual Artivist Film Festival
Head up to Columbia University this Wednesday and Thursday to see films depicting the Artivist Film Festival's mission: raising awareness regarding humanity, animals and the environment through informative and inspiring films. The festival ends its tour this week with an international roster of short and feature-length films as well as panel discussions. Nanny Vivian Maier took more than 100,000 black-and-white street shots of New York and Chicago in the 1950s, '60s and '70s, but never showed her work to anyone while she was alive.
