Monday night he discusses the book with novelist, essayist and critic Chuck Klosterman, bestselling author of "Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs: A Low Culture Manifesto." Stop by the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe to hear them in conversation. (Monday night at 7, FREE, Housing Works Bookstore Cafe, 126 Crosby St., housingworks.org)

    Art

Sabachthani (Why Have You Forsaken Me?)
Artist Margaret Evangeline, poet and art writer Jonathan Goodman, art critic Dominique Nahas and curator Lilly Wei discuss Evangeline's new monograph, "Sabachthani" this Wednesday at the New York Public Library. The work is a reflection of the New York-based, Louisiana-born artist's grief while sitting vigil for her son on his third tour in Iraq. The panel will also talk about the ways art acts as a reflection of social issues. (Wednesday, 6 p.m., FREE, Margaret Liebman Berger Forum, New York Public Library Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, Fifth Ave. at 42nd St., Rm. 227, 917-275-6975, nypl.org)
