'Art Show on Broadway'
Check out the works of 60-plus artists for FREE this Saturday at the "Art Show on Broadway," put on by gallery owners Lee Vasu and Damian Salo of the Dacia Gallery on the Lower East Side, who have rented out a building to exhibit the artists' works that wouldn't otherwise fit in their 450-square-foot gallery. Peruse the artwork and sip a cocktail while bopping to the tunes spun by DJs on every floor. The exhibit is free until 7 p.m. Staying for the party (7-10 p.m.) and after-party (10 p.m.-3 a.m.) will cost you $10 and $20, respectively. (Saturday, 3-7 p.m., FREE, 623 Broadway, 917-727-9383, daciagallery.com)Photography
Intel-Inspired Ultrabook Shooting Challenge
Gizmodo has partnered with Intel for an interactive exhibit showcasing a collection of photographs from the Intel-Inspired Ultrabook Shooting Challenge. The Shooting Challenge is an ongoing Gizmodo feature that provides readers with a new photography theme every week, which was amped up by Intel when they challenged professional photographers to travel around to offer Gizmodo readers a behind-the-scenes look at their creative process. The exhibit is open to the New York public Thursday and the photographers will hold a panel from 6-6:30 p.m. (Thursday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., FREE, 329 Broome St., gizmodo.com/ advertisement/intel-inspired)
