City, Robinson Canoe team up to bring tourists to Harlem, Wash Heights
The city made a call to the Bronx Bombers' locker room for its latest promotional effort to spotlight new neighborhoods to tourists.
Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano appears in a video released Wednesday by NYC & Company, the city's tourism wing, where he talks about some of the hot spots in Harlem and Washington Heights.
"I come to Washington Heights for real Dominican food that reminds me of my hometown, and it's a great place to visit," Cano said.
Some of the locations featured in the Neighborhood x Neighborhood campaign include the Apollo Theater, the National Jazz Museum and the Morris-Jumel Mansion.
Over the last few months, NYC & Company has made a push to get tourists to less-visited city sites.
So far they have promoted the South Bronx, Williamsburg, Bushwick and Battery Park City..
