  • Classic Christmas songs still rule the yule

    When it comes to Christmas songs, “O Holy Night” is divine.

    According to a Zogby poll released yesterday, the 19th-century hymn is America’s favorite, with 59 percent picking it in their top three out of a choice of nine songs.

    And apparently politics has an effect on Christmas cheer, as 67 percent of Republicans picked “O Holy Night” as one of their favorites, compared with 58 percent of independents and 50 percent of Democrats.

    Here's the list:

    7. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”: 15%

    8. “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer”: 10%

    9. Adam Sandler’s “The Hanukkah Song”: 9%
