Classic sign: All is well at Tout Va Bien in Hell's Kitchen

Jefferson Siegel sends along a gem of an old neon sign that still shines bright at 311 W. 51st St. between Eighth and Ninth avenues. Tout Va Bien is a French restaurant dating to 1949. Its Web site tells us this spot was a favorite of the French fleet, who would make a "bee line" to the Hell's Kitchen joint. It does have its devoted fans, according to these Yelp reviews. Check out this write-up of a recent visit to Tout Va Bien, which concludes with a definitive thumbs-up: "It deserves to live on."
