Colo. man repeats as NYC Triathlon champ
More than 3,000 athletes swam in the Hudson River before biking and running through Manhattan on Sunday in the 13th annual Aquaphor New York City Triathlon.
Jordan Jones, 32, of Golden, Colo., repeated as the men's champ, finishing with a time of 1 hour, 49 minutes, 5 seconds. Jenna Parker, 29, of Santa Monica, Calif., finished first among women with a time of 2:01:50.
The course required athletes to swim 1,500 meters in the Hudson, bike 40 kilometers along the West Side Highway and run 10 kilometers in Central Park.
As of press time, there were no reports of any athletes suffering serious injuries or illnesses.
