A 31-year-old Staten Island police officer was in the hospital yesterday after crashing his 2011 Cadillac CTS and being arrested and charged with drunken driving, reckless driving and reckless endangerment of others.

Six-year veteran Andrew Bisogna, who worked in the 122nd precinct, was allegedly driving east in the west-bound lane of Forest Ave. at a high speed without headlights at about 5 a.m. when he swerved to avoid an oncoming car and hit a pole at Livermore Ave., according to the Daily News and court papers.

Bisogna, who was taken to Staten Island University Hospital, was suspended from the NYPD after the accident. It was unclear when he might be arraigned, said a spokesman for the Richmond County District Attorney.
