Cops: 19 partiers arrested after man shot near South Street Seaport
A high school graduation celebration turned violent Sunday when a partyer pulled out a gun and shot a man during an early morning fight near the South Street Seaport, police sources said.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening after being struck in the right forearm at around 2:15 a.m., police said.
The unidentified shooter ran onto a party bus, and neither the driver or any of the 19 people on the bus pointed out the gunman, according to cops. All 19 passengers, who are between 15 and 24 years old, were arrested after police found the gun in the back of the bus.
Sources said the partyers and the victim were not being cooperative with police.
