  • Ernie Anastos drops F-bomb on TV news

Fox 5 News anchor Dari Alexander grimaces as co-anchor Ernie Anastos makes a foul-mouthed slip-up.

You might say one of New York’s leading news anchors got a little “fowl-mouthed” on the Fox 5 News at 10.

Veteran newsman Ernie Anastos dropped an F-bomb during Wednesday night’s newscast, uttering the nonsensical line “Keep f---ing that chicken” during routine banter.

It began when Anastos, seemingly referring to old Frank Perdue poultry commercials about “tender chicken,” told weatherman Nick Gregory, “I guess it takes a tough man to make a tender forecast.”

After Gregory laughed and said, “I guess that’s me,” Anastos followed up with the bizarre line “Keep f---ing that chicken.”

Anastos chuckled, but co-anchor Dari Alexander appeared horrified.
The clip shot across the Internet on Thursday through YouTube and Facebook.

In a statement, Fox 5 News said it was “disappointed” by Anastos’ comment. He was expected to apologize on the air Thursday night.
Last year, WNBC anchor Sue Simmons also used the F-word, thinking the mics were no longer live.
