Fashion Week: Joan Rivers' red-carpet skills come in handy

Joan Rivers never takes a break from critiquing fashion. She told amNY about the major style disaster she witnessed before the Elie Tahari show: “I saw a lady that had a whole Russian army underneath her fur hat. She went from chic to ‘Alice in Wonderland.’” Rivers witnessed the opposite of disaster at Tahari's first presentation at the Tents. She called his clothing "chic, affordable and wearable." "I only go to Fashion Week when there's something really special to see," she said.
