Tadashi Shoji gives an inside scoop into collection and all things Fashion Week.

    What's your Fashion Week motto?
Work hard, keep calm and sleep whenever possible.

What was your inspiration for fall?
    Czarist Russia: Royalty versus peasantry.

What's most notably new this season?
This season, I experimented with back volume. I love the juxtaposition of a simple silhouette in the front and unexpected drama in the back.

What's in your Fashion Week "survival kit?"
A good coat, green tea and a strong team with the same goal in mind.

What's the most unfashionable thing you've ever witnessed during Fashion Week?
    Trying too hard.

If you go: Showing Feb. 7 at Lincoln Center
