    The manhunt is over for a Bronx father who allegedly tried to kidnap his kids.

    Fitz Edwards, 29, turned himself in to a Bronx police station yesterday, a complete turnaround from the events that took place Sunday morning, the NYPD said.

    Edwards allegedly got into a fight with with the 26-year-old mother of his 2-year-old and 5-year-old kids at around 5 a.m. Sunday, which quickly escalated as he shot at her with a handgun. After Edwards missed, police say and then set the apartment on fire.

    He allegedly fled with the two children and carjacked a 2005 Honda Accord a few blocks away. The car's driver wasn't hurt and ran away from the suspect.

    Police put out an Amber Alert while Edwards fled , but he abandoned the car in Harlem, leaving the children in the back seat. Officers found the kids unharmed inside the car.
