Get post-gym beautiful
Getting ready after hitting the gym should be quick, easy and not require an arsenal of products. Add these steps to your routine to go from sweaty to beautiful in no time. (Julie Gordon)
Always use mascara post-workout. "Mascara brightens your eyes and makes you look more energized," said celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez, a brand ambassador for St. Tropez.
Skip foundation. It's too heavy after a sweat session - and instead dot concealer over blemishes and redness. Or, for light, all-over coverage, try an instant tan product like St. Tropez's One Night Only Instant Glow Body Lotion ($18, at Sephora stores). "Mix it with moisturizer and it'll give you a bronze glow that'll minimize any redness," Gomez said.
Use a rosy or nude lipstick on lips, cheeks and eyes. "It's great for someone who doesn't want to carry so many products," said Gomez.
Texture is key - especially if don't plan to wash your locks after working out. "Put your hair up in a disheveled braid or bun so that you can't see the separation between sweat at your roots and the rest of your hair," said Edgar Parra, a hairstylist for Living Proof.
Before putting hair up, use a dollop of a texturizing product, like Living Proof's Amp2($24, at ulta.com), which "allows you to create a piecey, voluminous style." Also use bobby pins to put shorter pieces into place.
If you don't wash your hair, still blow dry to "get rid of the moisture," said Parra.
