Good Samaritan saves baby after tumbling onto subway track
A baby boy was saved by an unknown good Samaritan Tuesday afternoon after his stroller rolled off a subway platform and onto the tracks, officials said.
The mystery hero sprung into action after the one-year-old suddenly tumbled onto the tracks at the Van Siclen Ave. J/Z station at around 12:45 p.m., police and fire officials said yesterday. It was unclear who was accompanying the baby at the time.
"An unknown male goes down on the track, puts the baby -- still in the stroller -- back on the platform," a police source said.
The unidentified baby was rushed by EMS workers to Brookdale Hospital because he was bleeding from a gash to his forehead, emergency officials said.
