The weather in England cooperated for the golfers on the links at Royal Lytham and St. Annes on Thursday, as unusually sunny and warm conditions led to unusually low scores in the first round of the Open Championship.
Adam Scott tied a course record with a 6-under 64, while Tiger Woods shot a 3-under 67 -- including a 30 on the front nine -- in conditions better fitting the Hawaiian Islands than the British Isles.
