Gov. David Paterson set to join MTA board after confirmation

Former Gov. David Paterson is heading to the MTA's board.
Paterson was confirmed by the state Senate Wednesday, and could join the transit agency as early as next week for its monthly board meeting.
After he was tapped to the post by Cuomo in April, Paterson told amNewYork he thought his experience in Albany would benefit the MTA.
"Often the board gets frustrated with the executive branch, and at least I think I can explain to other board members what the executive branch's challenges are," he said at the time.
