Gwyneth Paltrow named world's most beautiful woman of 2013 by People
People magazine named Gwyneth Paltrow — actress, mother, blogger — the world’s most beautiful woman of 2013 Wednesday.
The blonde stunner, 40, told the magazine she was shocked to hear the news.
“I honestly thought someone was playing a joke on me,” she said.
Paltrow claimed that she usually hangs out around her home in jeans and a T-shirt with her two children, Apple and Moses, and hardly wears any makeup.
“I feel my most beautiful when I am truly myself,” she told People in the exclusive interview.
The Oscar winner, who stars in the upcoming blockbuster “Iron Man 3,” told People she credits the Tracy Anderson fitness method with helping her feel stronger and look younger.
Paltrow joins beauties such as Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts, Christina Applegate, Kate Hudson and Angelina Jolie, who have previously topped People’s annual list.
The “Most Beautiful” issue this year also includes Zooey Deschanel, Kerry Washington, past “most-beautiful woman” Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lawrence and Jane Fonda. It will be available on newsstands beginning Friday.
