New Yorkers still love the guv.
Voters give Gov. Andrew Cuomo an overall favorability rating of 72% – up from 69% last month – in a Siena College poll released Tuesday, and it’s due to his response to Hurricane Irene and its aftermath.
“When it comes to his handling of the natural disasters that struck the state earlier this month and for which recovery efforts continue, more than two-thirds of voters from every region and every party say he’s doing an excellent or good job,” Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg said in a statement.
Although the Democratic leader’s overall job rating dipped slightly in September to 55% favorable, it’s stayed fairly consistent since February.
