  • It's in the Village --- and "Across 110th Street"

    One item of note which did not make into our story about the neglected 170+ year old building at the corner of MacDougal and King is that apparently the blaxploitation film "Across 110th Street" shot several scenes in the ground floor clubhouse, which ironically enough, apparently also moonlighted as a real life mafia hangout.
