'Jersey Shore': Sixth season to be last with current cast
Say goodbye to your favorite guidos and guidettes.
The sixth season of "Jersey Shore" will be the final one with the current cast, which includes Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, according to InTouch.
The magazine reports that when the eight main cast members arrived in Seaside Heights to begin filming last May, they were told the news immediately.
"An executive producer announced that this season will be the last," an unnamed source told InTouch. "She stressed to the cast that fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game."
The eight rowdy stars of the show kept their spirits high, according to the source, who said they have "decided to make the most of their final days at the shore."
The rest of the cast comprises, Samantha Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, Deena Cortese, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Paul DelVecchio, all of whom have helped lead the series to sky-high ratings for MTV.
Two of the stars, Snooki and JWoww, seem already to have a future laid out, as their spinoff series, "Snooki and JWoww," premieres June 21.
