The "Harry Potter" series may not be over afterall.

J.K. Rowling, the author of the acclaimed "Potter" novels, said she has shut the door on that world, but that if she thought of something truly great, she might put out another story set in it.

"Where Harry's story is concerned, I'm done," Rowling, 47, told the BBC. "Now if I had a fabulous idea that came out of that world -- because I loved writing it -- I would do it. But I've got to have a great idea. I am very adverse to the prequel/sequel scenario."

Rowling's first book in her post-Potter career, an adult novel called "The Casual Vacancy," comes out today.
