Karl for Net-a-Porter: Line lives up to hype

When it comes to fashion collaborations and exclusives, the buzz is often bigger than the bite. However, when we heard Karl Lagerfeld was pairing up with Net-a-Porter.com, we got a good feeling: How could the marriage of the man behind Fendi and Chanel and everyone's favorite luxe online retailer be anything but epic?
Karl by Karl Lagerfeld went on sale Wednesday, and it's epic indeed.
Essentially a streamlined, restrained, versatile mix of futuristic materials (PVC-sleeved sweaters, silver leather skirts) and classic Karl (black and white, moto jackets, fingerless leather gloves, stiff shirt collars), the items are priced between $25 and $1,350, with most hovering around $200 to $400.
Lagerfeld's status-y, well, status is also noted, with tote bags and T-shirts emblazoned with his likeness. Shoes run the gamut from high-top sneakers to thick-banded wedge sandals. Check out a few of the offerings, below:
