Kim Kardashian plans to sue mag over '100 percent false' cheating allegations
Kim Kardashian suddenly isn’t so happy about being the subject of a magazine cover story.
The reality star is “preparing to take legal action” against the tabloid In Touch Weekly for publishing a cover story claiming she cheated on fiance Kris Humphries with New England Patriot Bret Lockett, a rep for Kardashian told amNewYork yesterday.
“The story is 100 percent false,” the rep said.
Appearing in the June 20 issue, the article details an alleged five-month relationship consisting of phone sex, sexting and racy photo exchanges between Kardashian and Lockett, whom Kardashian says she has never spoken to or met.
The magazine also quotes Lockett as saying “She pursued me” and “I knew this was a game to her.”
“Remember, people only rain on your parade because they’re jealous of your sun & tired of their shade,” Kardashian tweeted yesterday.
A spokesperson for In Touch told us yesterday, “We stand by our story.”
Kardashian, 30, began dating Humphries, a 26-year-old forward for the New Jersey Nets, about six months ago and plans to marry him this summer.
Humphries popped the question at the end of May with a rock of an engagement ring — a 20.5-carat stunner from Lorraine Schwartz that reportedly is worth more than $2 million.
