The United States Anti-Doping Agency Tuesday handed lifetime bans from cycling to three former associates of Lance Armstrong, the organization announced.

Luis Garcia del Moral, Michele Ferrari and Jose "Pep" Marti all on the USPS Cycling Team starting in 1999 - del Moral as the team physician until 2003, Ferrari a consulting doctor until 2006 and Marti as the team's trainer until 2007.

USADA chief executive Travis Tygart said in a statement that the three were involved in a "sophisticated, far-reaching doping conspiracy" including trafficking and administering banned substances.
