Is Lindsay Lohan returning to her East Coast roots?
The troubled “Mean Girls” actress is reportedly looking for new digs in Gotham even though she still has to answer to criminal charges of stealing a necklace in Los Angeles.
“She will be in New York a lot more going forward,” her mom, Dina Lohan, told the Daily News yesterday. “She’s actively looking for places in the city with her younger brother Michael.”
“She loves it here,” Dina Lohan said. “And she has a lot of friends who already have places, so she might sublet.”
LiLo, 24, is due back in an L.A. court on April 22 for a preliminary hearing in her felony grand theft case. A California jewelry store is accusing her of stealing a $2,500 necklace. She has said the store let her borrow it and an assistant was late in returning it.
Her rep didn’t respond to requests for comment and her mom couldn’t be reached yesterday.
