Man killed by A train in northern Manhattan
A man was killed Monday in Washington Heights after he jumped in front of an oncoming A train, MTA and police officials said.
The man, whom the NYPD did not identify, jumped in front of a southbound A train in the 168th Street station at around 1:12 p.m. in an apparent suicide, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Service was disrupted on the line in northern Manhattan until 3:15 p.m., as trains in both directions between the 207th and 168th street stations were suspended.
