Man who was the voice of Charlie Brown arrested for stalking, threats
A former child actor who was the voice of Charlie Brown on the 1960s "Peanuts" specials was arraigned Wednesday after allegedly making criminal threats against a California plastic surgeon and stalking his ex-girlfriend, said the San Diego district Attorney.
Bail was set at $550,000 for Peter Robbins, 56, who pleaded not guilty.
On Jan. 3, Dr. Lori Saltz obtained a restraining order against Robbins, after he allegedly threatened to "break her in half" for performing what he claimed was a botched breast augmentation on his girlfriend, said news reports.
Ten days later, Robbins was arrested for skipping out on a restaurant tab. After he was cuffed, he allegedly threatened a police sergeant. Robbins was arrested Sunday night as he was coming back from Tijuana in his Mercedes at a border checkpoint.
His next court date is scheduled on Feb. 22.
