Matthew McConaughey and other stars hit Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic
Stars took the heat in stride Saturday, proving it's possible to be oh-so-haute in even the most sweltering conditions.
About 7,000 New Yorkers, including a bevy of celebs, flocked to Liberty State Park on Saturday afternoon for the sixth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, taking refuge under umbrellas and sun hats and keeping appropriately hydrated with glasses of bubbly.
Matthew McConaughey, clad in a white linen suit, co-hosted the festivities alongside polo hotshot Nacho Figueras, who couldn't play in the match because of a recent injury.
McConaughey and gorgeous wife Camila Alves stayed "side by side throughout the entire day," dished an eyewitness.
"[They] looked more in love than ever," the spy said of the pair, who welcomed their third child, a son named Livingston, in December.
The McConaugheys also mingled with Ashley Olsen and actress Rosario Dawson, who brought her mom as her date for the day.
Other big-name guests included Tiffani Thiessen, Alek Wek, Martha Plimpton, Rebecca Minkoff, Naeem Khan, Theophilus London, Catherine Malandrino and Tika Sumpter.
Ticket sales benefitted New Jersey's Liberty State Park, which sustained significant damage from Superstorm Sandy.
